The Foundation for a Unified Business Law in Africa (FOUBLA)

“The Foundation for a Unified Business Law in Africa” (FOUBLA) is registered as a non-for-profit corporation within the meaning of Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended, under the laws of State of Delaware, with an office at 250 Park Avenue, 7th Floor, NY, 10177, in the city and the State of New York, in the United States of America.

FOUBLA has been founded with a donation from the African Association for a Unified Business Law in Africa, UNIDA US Chapter, to support strategic programs that include sponsoring scholarship on OHADA, promoting and disseminating OHADA Law in the United States of America, while encouraging the extension of OHADA to English-speaking African countries.

The inaugural meeting of FOUBLA took place on the 1st December 2010 (see newsletter dated 04th December 2010), and the following persons were elected directors and officers of the corporation to run its affairs until their successors are duly elected.

We invite all those interested in promoting awareness of OHADA throughout the United States of America to join us in this effort, as well as ensuring that OHADA becomes an effective legal tool in English-speaking countries in Africa.
